The beach of Santa Maria, which in fact is divided in two smaller separate beaches, has nice, light colored sand and crystal clear sea. It is well organized, offering a broad range of facilities to the swimmers. If you like snorkeling, the place will not let you down, as the sea bed is very good for underwater fishing.
