Ambelas beach, Paros Island |
The small, well protected sandy beach in front of the small coastal village of Ambelas is found some 12,5 kilometers far from the town of Paros (Paroikia) at the Northeast and 5 kilometers eastern to Naoussa. As the beach is protected from the winds, its small port is suitable for mooring of small fishing and excursion boats. Accommodation facilities are available in the settlement. The sea front fish taverns and the traditional restaurants offer fresh fish and sea food, gorgeous local delicacies and a nice view of the village. |

The beach is not organized but the sea is crystal clear and the beach quiet enough, ideal for swimmers who wish to avoid the big crowded cosmopolitan beaches. In case of emergence you should return to Paroikia, 12,5 kilometers southwestern to Ambelas. Access to the beach is easy by rented or private cars and motorbikes. If you have a boat or yacht, the small port of the settlement is available for mooring. |
